000454-000143Alberto Martín Pérez holds a PhD in sociology (2007) from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Paris, France) and the University Complutense of Madrid. He has a double background in sociology and law (BA, 2005). Before joining the Sociology Department of the University in Barcelona, he was postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Policies and Public Goods of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in Madrid (2008-2010). He has been visiting fellow at the Center for Comparative Immigration Studies of the University of California San Diego (2011) and at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the European University Institute (2014). His research mainly focuses on the study of citizenship, from various points of view: the immigrants’ access to social entitlements, the daily practices of the administrations of the welfare state, the representations of the condition of citizen, and the institutional aspects of the entitlement and practice of citizenship.
