It is possible to write a Thesis with co-tutorship: from each university and in the end the doctoral student gets a degree from both universities.

  • Once it is authorised by the Commission, the agreement proposal has to be sent to the Doctoral School by the Faculty.
In order to have access to the second year, the Research Plan must be approved. Otherwise, the Academic Commission gives a maximum period of six months to present a new plan. Request of thesis deposit

What you have to do Documentation

When the research plan has two consecutive positive monitoring reports and you consider that thesis has been completed, you can start the procedures for the thesis deposit request. We recommend that you start these procedures at least two months before the thesis defense.

The authorisation request to thesis deposit to the Academic Commission: it has to be submitted to the Secretary for Students and Teaching Office of your supervisor’s Faculty with the corresponding documentation and has to be officially registered.

Once the Academic Commission approves the deposit, it informs the Doctorate Committee of the Faculty to authorize the defense, together with the thesis committee proposal.

The thesis will be seven days in the deposit. During this period, any doctor can examine the thesis and formulate the considerations that he/she considers appropriate.

If the Doctorate Commitee approves your deposit you will receive a notification with the defense approval and the thesis committee.

Payment of the rights of the thesis defence

  • At least five copies of the thesis and five CV.
