July 5-10, 2009: Summer School in Rethymnon, Crete
Three teachers from SoRuraLL Spanish pilot sites have participated in the Summer school “Hands-on Teachers Training Activities toward Global Warming and Climate Change, using Digital Learning Resources and Learning Repositories”. The summer school took place in Rethymnon (Crete, Greece) between July 5th and July 10th, 2009.
The three teachers represented three different Spanish rural schools - Rellinars in Catalonia, Campos and Reboreda in Galicia, which have been awarded the prize for best activities conducted in the context of Rural Wings project.
The workshop participants have been introduced to the educational applications in “Second Life”, social networking and e-learning tools in rural education, and learnt about educational metadata and on-line Repositories. Furthermore, teachers had the chance to visit a primary school, as well as the Skinakas observatory.
