PRESENTATION
The Consolidated Research Group of Physics and Engineering of Amorphous Materials and Nanostructures (FEMAN), is composed by members of the Department of Applied Physics and Optics of the University of Barcelona and of the Department of Physics of the University of Girona. FEMAN group was formed in 1993 and is leaded by Prof. Enric Bertran. Current staff is 10 doctors, from which 7 are permanent staff, and 5 PhD students. The researchers of FEMAN group are also members of the IN2UB, the Institute for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology of the University of Barcelona.
As a whole, the research path of the group has resulted in more than 240 published papers in JCR indexed journals and 60 articles in books and proceedings, 44 national and 6 international competitive research projects, 30 private contracts, 15 patents and utility models, and 12 supervised PhD thesis. Current research contracts include 3 national projects, 3 European projects and 1 private company contract.
