Merriam Webster On line. The Language Center is the electronic and updated version of the so-called first American dictionary by Noah Webster. It includes both a Webster Dictionary and the Thesaurus as well as language resources.

One Look Dictionaries is a multisearch dictionary. It allows searching a word in more than 600 electronic dictionaries including both general dictionaries like Cambridge International Dictionary of English , Merriam-Webster's WWWebster Dictionary, as well as special subject dictionaries on Arts and Humanities (literary studies in particular) and Internet among others.

Dictionary.com is a multisearch dictionary. It allows searching a word in different dictionaries. Run by Lexico LLC, a provider of language learning services on the Internet,  including Dictionary.com, an online English Dictionary and directory of Internet reference sites, and Thesaurus.com, an online version of Roget's Thesaurus of  English Words and Phrases. Lexico is a privately-held company based in Los Angeles, California.  It includes both general dictionaries like The American Heritage Dictionary as well as specialised dictionaries like The Free Online Dictionary of Computing.

 

Your Dictionary.com  It is a multisearch dictionary and thesaurus as well as language resources web site. It contains more than 1500 dictionaries representing more than 200 languages. The immediate predecessor, The Web of Online Dictionaries, was launched in 1995 by Dr. Robert Beard at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, as a research tool for the world's linguistic community. (Dr. Beard is now the Chief Linguistics Officer and CTO of yourDictionary.com.)

THe Online Resource by the Purdue University Libraries  It is a selection of Online dictionaries, encyclopaedias and language resources some of which can only be accessed by Perdue University scholars like TheOxford English Dictionary. It includes English dictionaries such as Merriam-Webster's Dictionary On Line which is accessible through a search engine, returning definitions for the input word, International Dictionaries; Technical English Dictionaries; Acronym Dictionaries; Thesauri (Roget's Thesaurus); Encyclopaedias (Encyclopedia Britannica Encyclopedia.com  from The Concise Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia) and miscellaneous.
