The Phonetics Laboratory provides useful information and is located on the fifth floor of the Josep Carner Building.

Computer room

The computer room is on the fourth floor in the Josep Carner Building and has an Internet connection. Introductory computer courses are taught in this space to improve use of IT tools or to gain specialized knowledge.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 9 pm.
A notice will be posted in the room detailing the opening hours and the closed days during the Christmas and Easter breaks. The Computer Room will be shut throughout August.

Self-access language learning centres

Multilingual self-access language learning centres (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Polish and Hebrew) and the Catalan self-access language learning centre:

Other services

Lockers and microwaves

Lockers are available for depositing bags and other personal belongings and are located in the corridor that leads to the Faculty Bar. See auxiliary services staff for more information about their use.

In addition, there are two microwaves in the corridor that leads to the Faculty Bar, which is situated in the basement of the Historic Building. These microwaves can be used by all Faculty students.

Student room

The student room is on the ground floor in the Pati de Lletres and is available for student associations and groups. This meeting room seats up to thirty people and can only be used by groups and associations that are registered with the Dean’s Office. Requests to use the student room must be made to the Pati de Lletres Auxiliary Service Staff (in the former reception area).

Study rooms

The Faculty has two study rooms, which do not contain library collections, but are set aside for studying, reading or working in groups. They are open during the opening hours of the Faculty and are situated in the basement of the Josep Carner Building.   

Cafeteria and restaurant service

The Faculty Bar is in the basement of the Historic Building and is open from 8 am to 8 pm.
