He enjoyed a stay in the Group of Climatoloy of the University of Barcelona (2005SGR-01034) during the period 2003-2005. He is a research member of this group since 2004.

- Collaboration scholarship. Laboratory of Climatology. University Institute of Geography. University of Alicante. October 2001 – July 2002.

- Bachelor of Geography. University of Alicante. June 2002.

- Honorable mention as the best national student´s record of the Geography’s Degree. National Final-Year Prize 2001/2002. Ministry of Education and Science of Spain. June 2003.

- DEA´s Degree in «Territorial Analysis and Planning. Climate and Country Planning». Geography Doctorate Program. University of Alicante. July 2004.

- Master´s Degree in Applied Climatology. Physical Geography Department and AGR and Meteorology and Astronomy Department. University of Barcelona (UB). June 2005.

He has aimed his research interests towards the Climatology. At this moment he carries out, under the supervision of Dr. Jorge Olcina-Cantos and Dr. Antonio M. Rico-Amoros, the doctoral thesis entitled: «A climatological study of sea breezes in Alicante. Sea breeze fronts over the Iberian Mediterranean area and the isle of Mallorca».The aim of this doctoral study is to make out the sea-breeze characteristics, to examine the phisical processes that control this wind circulation and to analyse, using remote sensing data, the sea-breeze convergence effect and the low level convection on the development of convective situations in the Mediterranean area.

He collaborates as a external researcher in some sea-breeze projects in the Regional Climate Group (Earth Science Centre, University of Gothemburg, Sweden), which is leaded by Dr. Deliang Chen, where he made a short stay during the period August-December 2005. He completed a research stay in the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA, Colorado State University-CSU, USA) since June to September 2006, working with Dr. Bernadette Connell about the sea breeze front using remote sensing techniques.

Among other research projects, he belongs to the Iberian Mediterranean Network for the Analysis of Climatic Risk (RIMARC). Complementary Action, Ministry of Education and Science, CGL2004-21663-E, 2005 (coordinated by Mª Jose Estrela, CEAM, Valencia).

In addition, he works as a meteorological observer in an official rainfall station in the centre of Villena city (Villena-Ciudad station, 8007E, Meteorological Institute of Spain, INM), and in a mountain meteorological station in Salinas Mountain. He usually collaborates with some national TV and Radio media, and he gives professional advice to the Fire Unit of the Alicante Council.

He is a member of the Spanish Climatological Society (AEC) and the Group of Climatology of the Spanish Geographical Society (AGE), and also of the editorial board of the “Revista de Climatología” (ISSN 1578-8768) since October 2006.
