I completed my degree in Geography at the University of Extremadura in 2003, and since 2005 I am a Ph. D. student in the Group of Climatology at the University of Barcelona.

My research interests are the homogenisation and temporal variability and trends analysis of cloudiness and sunshine duration series over the Iberian Peninsula and the western part of Europe, with their spatial and temporal variations during the last decades.

These investigations are under the supervision of Dr. Javier Martin-Vide (University of Barcelona) and Dr. Josep Calbó (University of Girona), and are funded by the Ministry of Education and Science (MEC) of Spain with the NUCLIER and NUCLIEREX projects and with the FPU program for young researchers.
