The Biblioteca Nacional de España just finished high-resolution scanning of map that made the military engineer Ambrosio Borsano, dated 1687, called El Principado de Cattaluña y Condados de Rossellón y Cerdaña.

It is the largest scale map preserved, about 1:200.000, of the seventeenth century showing Catalonia and Roussillon.

This is a map of military theme. Note that it is surrounded by 16 plans of populations and fortresses, as well as five cityscapes: Palamós, Tarragona, Barcelona, Girona and Roses (see Nadal 2008).
