XII GEIRLI MEETING IN BARCELONA:

NEW TRENDS IN REDOX BIOLOGY: A MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH

Barcelona, 4th and 5th July 2019

The Organizing Committee is pleased to invite you to the XII GEIRLI Meeting that will take place on July 4th and 5th in Barcelona, ​​at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Barcelona located in the ​​Diagonal-Pedralbes university campus. As the title indicates, we have made an effort to present current topics and the meeting will consist of:

 

Sessions:

• The Redox Biology Network  in Pathophysiology and Therapeutics

• Redox as a Master Regulator of Transcriptional Programs

• Redox Biology in Neurological Function, Dysfunction and Aging

• Antioxidant Systems and Molecular Signalling

 

Workshop:

• Redox-Omic Technologies

 

Plenary Lectures:

• Dra. Ulla Knaus: ROS at Mucosal Barriers

• Dr. Michael Davies: Redox Modifications to the Extracellular Matrix: a Signal for Altered Cell Behaviour

 

Round Table:

• The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of Oxidative Stress

 

The meeting will also include Discussion of Posters and Oral Communications.

The organizing committee has a special interest in young researchers participating in the Meeting, and we are offering a reduced registration fee (€50) for members of the Society for Free Radical Research-Europe (SFRR-E). Prizes will also be offered for the best oral communications / posters presented by pre-doctoral researchers.

We hope that the XII GEIRLI Meeting will be a rewarding experience, both scientifically and personally, and that you will take full advantage of the opportunities it offers for interesting discussions as well as to start new collaborations and research projects.
