The Group of Geodynamics and Basin Analysis (GGAC) is a multidisciplinary group that brings together researchers in the field of Structural Geology, Geophysics, Sedimentology and Biostratigraphy. GGAC members are professors and researchers from the Department of Geodynamics and Geophysics and the Department of Stratigraphy, Paleontology and Marine Geosciences, University of Barcelona.

The GGAC started operating in 1994 and has since then been recognized as a consolidated research group  by the Generalitat de Catalunya and has participated in several projects in collaboration with major oil companies. The group also works closely with other research groups and departments of geology worldwide
