GGAC
group dispose of a long range Terrestrial Laser Scanner and
applications to process data captured on geological
outcrops. Our experience is focused to extract information
from the geometric properties of the outcrop structures,
bedding surfaces, mechanical discontinuities or other
geological structures.
The
hardware consists of a laser scanner Ilris-3D form Optech, a
Differential GPS, a calibrated digital camera adapted to the
scanner, and a easily transportable self-generating power.
We use
commercial software like PolyWorks and specialized software
in-house to detect and extract automatically surfaces from
the laser scanner data and 3D digitization from digital
images.
And
also the
experience of working in outcrops
of different
characteristics. |
