Cinta Paloma, student of grade CIC, laureate of the contest emBROSSAts

This year commemorates the one hundred anniversary of the poet Joan Brossa‘s birth. To celebrate this event a lot of activities and events are celebrating during the year. One of these acts has been the emBROSSAts, a contest organised by the Linguistic Services and boosted by the Vice-Chancellor of Students and Linguistic Politics of the University of Barcelona in collaboration with the Linguistics Revitalization group.

The aim of the emBROSSAts was, by means of the game and the humour, to make known curiosities on the work and Joan Brossa’s life. About 2500 people have participated at the contest responding eight questions about the author. Finally, the winners have been Jana Lüscher, Catalan Philology student, and Cinta Paloma, student of the grade of Communication and Cultural Industries.

The two have won a “brossian” route through Barcelona for three persons, at charge of the Joan Brossa Foundation. In addition, the Chocolate Museum of Barcelona has given them a visual poem made of chocolate created exclusively for the contest.
