LOGOS, Universitat de Barcelona.
I am a doctor in history of science, graduated at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona under the supervision of Thomas Sturm. Before starting my PhD, I studied ingenieria de sistemas at Universidad Politécnica Salesiana del Ecuador (2006-2013), and a master in artificial intelligence at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (2013-2015). Furthermore, I graduated as master in history of science at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2016-2017). During my time as student in computation, I focussed in the use of artificial intelligence for helping patients with Parkinson's disease, and for image classification.
My main interests lie in the connection between history of science and philosophy of science with emphasis in computing and artificial intelligence. I focuss in the relationship between artificial intelligence and computational complexity during the decades of 1940, 1950, 1960, and 1970. In my thesis, I propose that artificial intelligence and computational complexity diverged because of Cold War events.
During my free time, I read history, philosophy, literature of all genres. I also like to see watch films, and science documentaries. Furthermore, I like to walk through the city of Barcelona to appreciate its beautiful architecture.
