I was born in Barcelona and I obtained my "Licenciatura" (BA) at the Universitat de Barcelona in 1981.
In 1982 I joined the PhD program at Stanford University, where my PhD was awarded in January 1989. I have been Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, Seattle (from 1987 to 1991), Associate Professor at the University of California, Riverside (to 2000) and Reader at the London School of Economics (to 2003)

 

 

Interests

My primary research interests are in the area of Philosophy of Language and the Theory of Reference.
