PsicoSAO is composed by 19 researchers and external collaborators. To guarantee sustainable research work and outcomes, the different research topics and its members are closely linked together in their work, resources and information transfer
The research group is built by four main research core areas:

  • Gender, change and group processes
  • Environmental intervention and management: person, society and organisations
  • Organisations, Human Resources and Human System audit
  • Social well-being, felicity and social movements

The work carried out on these research core areas allows to reach different goals, all of them having in common a psychosocial perspective:

  • To contribute to societal strategic sectors, as e. g. well-being, inclusion and social cohesion, environment management and development of Human Resources in organisations
  • To create synergies with companies and public administration, based on (targeted to) knowledge and innovation of common interest and on the development of application tools (for the mentioned fields) for management and services better: industry and service sector
  • To deepen scientifical analysis of the following topics:
    • Social inclusion and exclusion. Symbolism of space. Development of personal and social identity. Control processes, manipulation and psychological violence. Suitability of space. Time as social value. The use of public space.
    • Promotion of well-being and quality of life. Perception and risk management. Analysis of subjective well-being and felicity. Leisure, spare time and consume. Diagnostic and intervention in gender-based violence. Environmental and organisational and risk when driving.
    • Environmental, organisational and Human Resource management Human System Audit. Analysis, evaluation and intervention of psychological and psychosocial processes in organisational and environmental context (leadership, motivation, training, communication, socio-professional prospects, conflict management, work-life balance, NIMBY effect etc.).
    • Analysis, intervention and psychosocial evaluation in micro and macro context. Social representation of the globalisation. Promotion of environmental behaviour, responsible and individual commitment for sustainable development. Responsible consume.
