Introduction and research lines

The Research Group on territory, population and citizenship has been recognised as consolidated by the Catalan Agency for Administration of University and Research Grants (AGAUR). The group if composed by 14 researchers from University of Barcelona, attached to two faculties and three departments: Sociological Theory, Law Philosophy and Social Science Methodology and Sociology and Organisations’ Analysis at the Faculty of Economics; and Human Geography at the Faculty of Geography and History.

The group was created by researchers in different themes with confluent interests. A series of research themes have been developed in relation with social processes in the urban scope, around social and regional structure and inequality; demographic dynamics, housing, participation and environment. The work done ranges from academic research to applied research, especially on planning.
