The Quick manual for the HERMES WebGIS aims to illustrate the basic tools and functionality of the WebGIS through animations. All HERMES WebGISes have very similar functionalities despite the fact that they have been created with different software packages. Three videos have been produced on the use of the different WebGIS pages.

For the HERMES Scale and Western Mediterranean, the software used to create WebGIS is ArcGIS Server 9.2, which includes an extended help tool. In the following link there is a video showing how to use the site and get more information from the help tool:

MapServer software was used to create the WebGIS for the Porcupine/Rockall area. The following link illustrates the same functions as above for this specific software and WebGIS:
