Academic career
Graduate in Arts and Philosophy (Early Modern History section) from the Universitat de Barcelona (1973) with the Extraordinary Degree Prize and Doctor in Arts and Philosophy (Early Modern History section) with a classification of outstanding “cum laude” for the thesis Barcelona, Corte. Las visitas reales en la época contemporánea (1978).

Professor of Early Modern History at the Universitat de Barcelona (1997).
