On 18 January the Fundació Bosch i Gimpera awards € 25.000 to each selected project, which will be used to valorize projects of the University of Barcelona with a high potential for transfer and impact on our society. The grants of the Valorization Fund will make it possible to further mature the selected technologies with the twofold aim of bringing them closer to market requirements, and of allowing their transfer either through licensing to an existing company or through the creation of a new spin-off.
The project ‘Inhibitors of androgen receptor dimerization: First-in-class drugs for the treatment of prostate cancer’, led by the IBUB researcher Eva Estébanez Perpiñá and the project ‘Therapeutic and prophylactic effects of soluble Epoxide Hydrolase Inhibitors (sEHI) in Acute Pancreatitis (AP) and in Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)-Inducd AP’ led by the researcher IBUB Santiago Vázquez Cruz, were 2 of 4 winning projects of this edition, of the 14 total research projects presented.
