Honorary Member of the Society of Children’s Home Care (2002). Main researcher in the projects Social-cognitive information processing, temperament and stress (1999-2001) and Drop out in youth -risk factors in school context (2005-2007) both funded by the Academy of Finland. Elected member of the European Health Psychology Society and the Finnish Academy of Science. Member of the Council of Higher Education, Section of Education and Psychology of the Ministry of Education (1987-1990).
