Short biography

In 2012 I completed a European doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Psychiatry at the universities of Hamburg and Autonomous of Barcelona. After stays in Dresden and Montevideo, I have held teaching positions at the Universities of Edinburgh and East London and obtained a Marie Skłodowska-Curie contract that I carried out with Yale University. I am currently a Ramón y Cajal researcher at the University of Barcelona and I have the I3 certification for research intensification and the full professor accreditation. In addition, I am a member of the Monitoring Commission of the Advisory Council for Mental Health and Addictions of the Catalan Government and I collaborate with the Spanish Association of Mental Health Professionals, the European Network of Ex/Users and Survivors of Psychiatry, and the Global Anti-Stigma Alliance. My research interests are focused on the analysis of awareness strategies for mental health service users and professionals to improve communication between them, promoting service participation of the former and critical reflection and self-care of the latter.
