Call for postdoctoral candidates interested in applying for a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship in the field of "Biology Conservation"

Research Group:Conservation Biology Group
IP: Joan Real

Project information:
Our research team develops a long-term monitoring of endangered species especially Bonelli’s Eagle and Egyptian vulture in which we obtained demographic data as population evolution, productivity and survival in close 1000 tagged individuals.
Moreover, we obtained individual molecular samples to study genetics, body condition and trophic relationships and developed new techniques from these molecular approaches. Therefore, a good opportunity to use large samples to do multiple approaches to disentangle the environmental and human factors that are affecting the populations of endangered species and their ecosystems.
Three model species are in the study focus, the Bonelli’s Eagle, the Egyptian Vulture and the Eagle Owl, and three different approaches we want to develop, the demographic, the environmental and the molecular. Finally, we try to conduct a global ecosystem approach.
