Lifewatch meeting

On November 15th, Dr. Lluís Cardona, professor of Department of Biologia Animal at the Universitat de Barcelona, representing the IRBio, attended a meeting in Alcalá de Henares of a Spanish group of the project Lifewatch.

The aim of this project is to create a technologic platform for maintaining the interconnection and operation of databases on biodiversity at European level.

It is expected to start operating in 2014, but remain to define the location of the nodes of the network and the economic contribution of the Member States.
