Líquens of Barcelona. Citizen Science Project

Líquens de Barcelona was created thanks to the collaboration of the Liquenology Group of the Department of Biology, Ecology and Envrionmental Science of the University of Barcelona and IRBio members, of the platform of projects of citizen science in natural heritage Natusfera and of the Foundation for Science in Society, for the promotion of the scientific culture We propose a methodology for social transformation in the field of environmental conservation.
The project uses lichens as bioindicators of climate change and pollution, well known and easy to identify species. Participants do not require a very thorough knowledge of the flora of the liquence, it is not necessary to be a specialist to carry them out.
