Open and Citizen Science Seminar, Academic Challenges

We are pleased to share information about the Research Seminar to be held at the Faculty of Education on 19 May from 11 am to 2 pm in Room 240.

The seminar is organised by the Institute for Research in Education and the Learning, Media and social Interactions Research Group with the support of the Department of Didactics and Educational Organisation, all of them from the University of Barcelona.

The seminar will be a meeting point for researchers to discuss the contemporary need for an open and citizen science, and the challenges that this entails for academic work.

The seminar will be moderated by Mariona Grané, from the University of Barcelona, with the participation of five high-level international researchers who will contribute their perspectives on the subject:

Paulo Dias, from the Universidade Aberta de Portugal.

Antonio Lafuente, Estudios de la Ciencia, CSIC (Spanish National Research Council)

Mariana Martínez, from the University of Zaragoza

Nelson Pretto, from the Federal University of Bahia

María Soledad Ramírez, of the Tecnológico de Monterrey

The seminar has a dialogical vocation, so there will be a space for debate for those who wish to contribute their views and knowledge.
