Round table participants: Questions about gender research in education #IRED19

This week we introduce the participants of the round table ‘Questions about research on gender in education’ that will take place on November 4 in the framework of the 1st International Conference on Research in Education.

The rapporteur of the table will be Dr. Trinidad Donoso, and the speakers will be Dr. Sonia Estradé, Bárbara Tardón and Mónica Gijón.

Dr. Trinidad Donoso-Vázquez is a Professor in the Department of Research Methods and Diagnosis in Education at the University of Barcelona. She does research on feminist studies and gender violence.

Dr. Sonia Estradé has a degree in Physics and a PhD in Nanoscience from the University of Barcelona. She is a lecturer in the Department of Electronics at the UB. She is a member of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at the UB (IN2UB) and of the Inter-University Institute of Women’s Studies and Gender.

Dr. Bárbara Tardón holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Gender Studies. She is an expert in Sexual Violence and Human Rights, and co-author of the Amnesty International report “Ya es hora de que me creas” (It’s time for you to believe me). She is currently working at the Secretary of State for Equality.

Dr. Mónica Gijón is a Professor in the Faculty of Pedagogy at the University of Barcelona and a Social Educator. She teaches the subjects of Human Rights, Theory of Education and Analysis of Educational Relations at the Degrees of Social Education and Pedagogy. Her lines of research are Interpersonal Relations and Moral Education, Social Inclusion and Women in Situations of Exclusion, and Education in Values and Service Learning.
