Research Institute of Applied Economics (IREA)
forms part of the Barcelona Science Park and employs 60 researchers
as members of three separate groups working in the field of Applied
Economics. Two of these, AQR
and RISC, are recognized
by the Generalitat of Catalonia as consolidated research groups;

Last
16th of June at the "Casa Llotja de Mar",
was took place the Official Presentation - I Annual
Conference of IREA. The event was open to the press,
academic and corporate world. Among atendees, Mr. Miquel
Valls president of the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona
and Dr. Josep Samitier, dean in charge of the University
of Barcelona.
