AQR research Group is currently looking for a

Postdoctoral position in Economics

Requirements

•  a Ph.D. candidates in Economics, with a specialization in applied economy analysis

•  high potential in methodological quantitative analysis. Specialist in econometric techniques

•  publications and familiarity with research projects would be an advantage

•  knowledge of languages valued

Contract features:

•  Contract of one year (renewable for one additional year)

•  Full Time Contract. Starting date: January 2010

•  Compensation: up to 26.000 gross annual €. Possibility of additional compensation for participation in projects of R+D

•  Potential contract as part time assistant professor

•  Location: Barcelona

Job Description:

Candidate will collaborate on the research projects of the AQR Group.

•  Applied economy studies

•  Innovation

•  construction and analysis of databases

•  macroeconomic forecasts and analysis of the economic cycle

•  Construction of synthetic and strategic indicators

•  Indicators of quality of life and economic activity.

•  Studies of urban and regional economy

•  Economic growth

•  Studies of simulation of policy alternatives

•  Design and development of polls

•  economic impact studies

•  Indicators of territorial and sectorial activity at municipal level

•  Evaluation of strategical Plans

•  Studies of planning of the tourism

•  Labor market analysis
