What are we saying when
we use a name that doesn't refer? What are we talking about
when we use a singular term in fiction? Reference failure
and reference in fiction are two distinct phenomena that
have in common the apparent reference to things that do not
exist. For this edition of the BW we will encourage
submissions discussing reference to the (apparently)
non-existent. |
