Module 2: Technical skills in critical care and emergencies

Module 2 aims to consolidate technical skills and decision making from the emergency area to the definitive treatment of the patient in an intensive care unit.

Teaching is taught in the form of face-to-face practical workshops lasting 3 hours. Basic technical skills, complex skills, integrated cases of cross-cutting clinical decision making to different themes, and basic and advanced life support courses are addressed. The student has support material through the Virtual Campus, as well as visits to specialized facilities in prehospital settings.

  • Credits: 30 ECTS

  • Teaching period: October – June

  • Modality: Face-to-face

  • Teaching sites: Barcelona / Madrid

  • Language: Spanish

  • Cost: 2.500 € (Payment in January)

  • Access qualification: Graduates in Medicine or Nursing. Persons who in their country have legal attributions for health care.
  • Work experience: No previous work experience is required for admission to the master.
  • Master modules: It’s necessary to have done or be doing Module 1 to access  Module 2.

Train the technical skills of specialists, in small groups.

Integrated Cases

We train decision making in simulated clinical contexts, integrating theory, practice and reflexive techniques through computer simulation cases.

Integrated Emergency Exercises

The training of your skills and prehospital decision making are carried out in specialized facilities that replicate real environments
