Comprehensive Care for Critical Illness and Emergencies
The Master’s Degree in Clinical Research is an official accredited degree, and adapted to the European Higher Education. It complements the degree studies with a research orientation, and grants access to doctoral studies.
The Master’s Degree in Clinical Research is aimed at Graduates in the area of health and biosanitary. The master’s degree aims to perfect all the competences related to the research methodology, addressing the opportunities of research oriented to specific diseases of patients and their physiopathological mechanisms, from the particular clinical frameworks of the different specialties that make up the master’s degree.
The Master’s Degree in Clinical Research is the result of the unification in 2012, in the form of master’s specialties, of several university master’s degrees from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona: “Comprehensive Care for Critical Patients and Emergencies”, “Medicine Respiratory”, “Donation of Organs, Tissues and Transplants”, “Research in Liver Diseases”, and “International Health”. Thus, the various specialties in the master’s degree share a transversal nature of the research methodology. Each specialty preserves and addresses the specific aspects through the optional subjects.
The Master’s Degree in Clinical Research: specialty Comprehensive Care for Critical Illness and Emergencies aims to provide the student with the methodological tools to carry out clinical and biomedical studies in the area of critical illness, hospital emergencies and prehospital emergencies.
