Master Thesis Print

The Master Thesis (TFM) is a research project, a study or a memory exercise which involves to integrate the training throughout the titulation. In the TFM, students apply the knowledge, attitudes and skills acquired during the Master. The TFM is defined as an independent work and individual student.
The TFM should be carried out under the supervision and guidance of a head teacher's work which will promote and facilitate the learning process.
If the TFM is done in an agency or institution other than the UB, besides the director, the student must have a mentor teacher at UB. In this case, it is necessary to sign an agreement between the center and the institution or organization where the work is performed.

Written report
Students must submit a written report of work done with the figures it deems appropriate and relevant literature. As a guideline, the memory should be structured: Introduction, Objectives, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion (Results and Discussion may be combined into one paragraph, if you prefer), Conclusions and References. Its size could be around about 50 pages if necessary may include annexes with data accessories. The written reports must be signed by the student, the director of labor and the guardian (if the work is performed outside of the UB). The student must submit 4 copies of the report.

Oral Exposure Regulations:
The work should be exposed orally, before a tribunal appointed for this purpose, using the graphical support establishing appropriate (recommended powerpoint). The tribunal will consist of 3 members and one alternate.
The exposure time for each student will be 15-20 minutes, plus 5-10 minutes of questions from members of the court, not exceeding in any case can the 35 total minutes of exposure.
Unless exceptional circumstances, be a single call for submission of research papers in September 2012.

Delivery Dates and Submission:
- The reports (4 copies, one for each member of the court) must be delivered to the Secretary of the Department of Plant Physiology in the first week of September (date to be determined).
- The oral presentation will be at work early in the second half of September (date to be determined).
