The Master in Aquaculture is mainly addressed to current bachelors (4/5 year studies at the university), graduates (3 year studies at the university) or technical engineers that wish to have a proper formation in aquaculture. It is expected to train prepared professionals for this sector with a high scientific level, with control of multidisciplinary techniques, who are able to take responsibilities in direction and management. It is expected that aquaculture and the factory and services associated will grow at a European level in the coming years.
The domains where the graduates will be able to develop their work are:
- aquatic production at diverse responsibility areas,
- creation of new companies, consulting (at regional, state or European level),
- developing projects at international scale, working in industries directly related to aquaculture, such as feed production, medicines, and vaccines for fishes,
- transformation of fishing products, commercialization, and pharmacy industry.
- Graduates will also be able to achieve positions in public administration, and research, both in companies as in the public sector.
