Introduction

MASTER’S DEGREE IN MEDIEVAL CULTURE

The Master’s degree in Medieval Culture is a quality cross-disciplinary program. It fills an existing gap in the area of medieval studies by presenting an overview of the Middle Ages (6-15 centuries) in all their complexity. The usual separation of the subjects involved into a number of different disciplines (History, Art History, Philology and Philosophy) means that students wishing to specialise in this era -whether for academic or professional reasons - often lack an overall, in-depth understanding of the time. The importance of this innovative master's program is that it combines several areas of medieval studies from different faculties of the UB for the first time, providing an overall and detailed view of the era.

Course organization
The program is organized by the Faculty of Philology, in collaboration with the Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Geography and History.
