Master in Psychosocial Intervention - University of Barcelona |
|
The Official Master in Psychosocial Intervention is an interuniversity Program, coordinated by the University of Barcelona (UB), and also involving the University of Girona (UdG) and the Ramon Llull University (URL). The Rovira i Virgili University (URV) and the University of Lleida (ULL) also collaborate in teaching tasks.
The Master is the result of a process initiated in 2002 by the School of Psychology, under the leadership of Dr. Montserrat Freixa. This process was aimed at updating the offer of education programs in Psychology within the horizon of the new European Space of Higher Education. Several circumstances, of both academic and political nature, led to its evolution from its initial form (as an Undergraduate program in Psychosocial Intervention) to its current dimension, as an Official Master.
Both the Master and the PhD in Psychosocial Intervention are fully adapted to the requirements of the European Space of Higher Education, as regulated in Spain by the RD 1393/2007 of October 29th.
University Masters are advanced education programs, designed to achieving academic and/or professional expertise, as well as to initiate a research career (which can result in a PhD).
