Lexis and communication is an innovating master’s degree which offers advanced study in lexicology, lexicography and communication. Its purpose is to provide students high expertise in lexicology, lexicography and multimodal communication.

Lexis and communication is an interdepartmental programme, developed within the framework of the European Higher Education Area and in line with programmes offered by other European universities.  It focuses both on professionalization and advanced academic research leading to a PhD.  

Organisation of the course:

1. Common advanced studies in  linguistics (theoretical, practical and methodological)
2. Advanced English, Spanish and Catalan linguistic studies.
3. Specialized studies in:
   Lexicology and Lexicography  / Linguistic communication
4. Training in advanced research

Type: Mixed (academic and research)

After passing the master credits, the student will obtain the "Master Degree in Lexis and Communication from the University of Barcelona".
