The main target of the Master of Research in Business, Finance and Insurance  (MRec.EFA) is mainly focused on the research training of the student in different business fields: management, administration, accounting, finance, human resources, size and structure of the company, effects of economics polity in the company, business innovation/development , technical aspects of finance and insurance. 

To carry out it successfully, the master program includes three different majors:

• Organization, management and accounting.
• Finance and insurance.
• Operational research.

The master aims to provide the most relevant theoretical and empirical methodologies needed in various fields of business. The graduates will get the knowledge and the ability to start working on a doctoral thesis in an independent way. The students who continue in the business world will be ready to work at important researching positions like consulting companies.

The Master of Research in Business, Finance and insurance (MRec.EFA) is part of doctorate structure, so every student who get the full program can complete their profile with a doctoral thesis, in other words, there are options to complete the research doctoral program of business at  the university.

The Master and VidaCaixa offer in June 2011, the fourth edition of premio VIDACAIXA-ASSEGURANCES UB which is assigned to the best research work in the insurance field carried out in the master.
