Quality measures Print

Students: teaching surveys

In accordance with UB quality assurance policy, students may evaluate the service provided by teaching staff at the end of each semester, completing an electronic teaching survey. These surveys will be developed and managed by the UB Institute of Education Sciences (ICE), which will collate data and responses and send the final results to the course coordinator.

Teaching staff: meetings with the course coordinator

There will be at least two meetings with teaching staff per semester, one before teaching begins and another after it is concluded, prior to the official ceremonies. These allow for the sharing of opinions, comments and suggestions between teaching staff, which may then be incorporated into the assessment of individual students.

The course coordinator, module coordinators and teaching staff can also discuss other specific issues at these meetings.

Throughout the whole duration of the course the master’s assessment committee will meet on a weekly basis.

Contents of all meetings are detailed in the corresponding minutes.

Administrative and service staff: meetings with the course coordinator

The master’s course coordinator convenes occasional meetings with the administrative and service staff. Although these do not occur at established regular intervals, they are an essential part of resolving issues not related to teaching.

Procedures for registering complaints, objections and suggestions from students

The students ombuds officer for master’s students at the course exists for the purpose of fostering an open and transparent dynamic between students, teachers and coordinating staff. This officer’s role includes collecting students’ complaints, objections and suggestions, and communicating them to the course coordinator and teaching staff so that adequate measures can be taken in each case. Dr. Eugeni Boldú Montoro will carry out these functions, and will be available by e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and in person during course hours.
