GRAPHIC USER-FRIENDLY INTERFACE

Solution Equilibria and Chemometrics Group

MCR-ALS with Graphic User-Friendly Interface consists of a few MATLAB (m- and their related fig-) files freely downloadable from this web.

These files are downloaded in *.zip format that the user has to unzip prior to its use.

The folder where these files are unzipped is not relevant, although unzipping the files of the toolbox in a "matlab\toolbox\mcr-als" folder is suggested.

MATLAB 6.1-x Once the files are in a local folder (i.e. matlab\toolbox\mcr-als):

1) Set this folder into the MATLAB path and Save the Path. Just with this you can work with the toolbox by calling the main function als2004 on the command line.

2) Also an icon will appear in the MATLAB Start menu related to the MCR-ALS toolbox

MATLAB 7.0 1) Set this folder into the MATLAB path and Save the Path. Just with this, you can work with the toolbox by calling the main function als2004 on the command line.

Also an icon will appear in the MATLAB Start menu related to the MCR-ALS toolbox (if the icon doesn't appear, then go to the MATLAB Start menu >> Desktop Tools >> View Source Files)

2) Also is recommended to add a Shortcut in the MATLAB "Shortcut Toolbar". To do this just click the right mouse button on the "Shortcut Toolbar" and select "New Shortcut".

Then fill in the Shortcut Editor:

Label : MCR-ALS

Callback : als2004

Category: Toolbar Shortcuts

Icon: select standard icon or browse to the original folder and select the MCR_logo

Finally, click the Save button
