Physical Engineering is closely
related with what is called in some countries Engineering
Physics. It is the branch of engineering that applies physics
to the socioeconomic development in the fields of industry,
services and scientific and technical research. It covers
the new technological areas resulting from the developments
of physics insufficiently treated in traditional engineering.
The objective of the Master in Physical Engineering is to
prepare professionals for the work in the new technological
areas related to physics, as much in research and development
as in production, by means of formation in specific competencies
in the areas of instrumentation, optics, materials, electronics,
microsystems and nanotechnology, and in cross-sectional skills
related to the professional work.
Lectures are given in Spanish or Catalan, and examinations,
reports and theses may be written in English, Spanish, or
Catalan.
