The main objective is to reconstruct at high-resolution the climatic and environmental evolution of the zones under investigation. For that, a large set of inorganic (XRF, XRD, ICP-MS, stable isotopes, magnetic properties of sediments) and organic (bulk and specific organic-compounds) proxies are characterized on lacustrine sediments. The research group also focuses on the spatial and temporal characterization of high-frequency climate phenomena like the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) and the El Niño - Southern Oscillation (ENSO).
