Upcoming ACCOMPLISSH European research project meeting in Zagreb

The meeting will take place in Zagreb Inphografic on the ACCOMPLISSH co-creation model

The next 29th and 30th of May will take place in Zagreb a new meeting of the 14 university partners involved in the ACCOMPLISSH European research project, funded by the European Commission programme Horizon 2020. The University of Barcelona (UB) participates in the project, which is focused on the social impact of the Social Sciences and Humanities research, throughout the UB Social Sciences and Humanities Park and the investigators from the FODIP research group, on Teacher Training and Educational Innovation. On this occasion, the attendees representing the UB team for the meeting will be Dr. Núria Serrat, from the Department of Teaching and Learning and Educational Organization; Dr. Jordi Méndez, from the Department of Methods of Research and Diagnosis in Education; and Albert Gili, responsible for providing technical support to the UB team from the SSH Park.

The acronym ACCOMPLISSH stands for: Accelerate co-creation by setting up a multi-actor platform for impact from Social Sciences and Humanities. It points out the main purpose of the project, which will face the challenge of creating an innovative valorisation concept that will strengthen the position and impact generation of SSH. This goal has to be achieved working closely with the potential users of the SSH research: the social actors. Thereby, the dialogue with this actors is established in Quadruple Helix framework (academia, industry, governments and societal partners).

At the present time the project, under the coordination of the University of Groningen, has passed the first its 3 years of development (Mar 2016 – Feb 2019). At this point the Zagreb meeting, programmed as one of the annual encounters, will provide the opportunity to discuss some initial results, which come from literature review and focus group interviews with quadruple helix partners. The UB team, that shares the responsibility of co-leading the project dissemination with the Tallin University (TLU), will present the first ACCOMPLISSH Communication Plan proposal, together with the TLU representatives. There will be a Steering Committee session at the last part of the meeting that will guide the upcoming actions. To sum it up, this encounter will reinforce the generation of environments and tools for exchange between academia and social agents to face the next stage of the project.
