| The Museum of
Catalan Pharmacy has a large variety of instruments from the faculty's old
laboratories, used in both teaching and research. Polarimeters, spectrographs,
precision scales and grain scales, microscopes, polarizing microscopes,
aerometers, colorimeters and viscosimeters exemplify the diversity of instruments
present in the processes of drug formulation, control and preparation.
Since pharmacy falls within the field of health sciences,
medical instruments are also represented: cupping glasses, a foldable
stethoscope, various surgical instruments, enema devices, syringes, and
a device to calculate basal metabolism (Metalbolor McKesson).
