Briefing Notes


The Briefing Notes of the Observatory of Globalisation of the University of Barcelona aim to provide a systematic and up-to-date insights on the main international instruments that shape the framework of the current process of economic globalisation.

The Briefing Notes are divided into different "Series" with their own numbering.

The Observatory of Globalisation houses specialists that do not necessarily share the same methodological and political approach. Therefore, the opinions expressed in each Note only reflect the views of its author.

The Notes will be published in their original version, Catalan, Spanish, French or English. With the only exception of the Mercosur Series, whose Notes will all be published in Spanish.

All the activities of the Observatory of Globalisation are co-financed by the Catalan Government, without prejudice to the existence of other specific funding.


At present, this Observatory has already published 26 Briefing Notes in the following Series:

    - General Series
    - Regulatory Framework of Globalisation Series
    - Mercosur Series
    - Globalisation and Development Series
