The Master in Online Teaching and Learning
Environments (EAED) is targeted at two groups of students:
students wishing to round off their academic studies with
competences focused on the professional world and students
wishing to pursue a career in research. Research-oriented
students can go on to do a doctoral thesis when they have
finished the master’s degree.
For students on the professional pathway, finding positions
in the marketplace is directly related to satisfying profiles
that call for design, development, application and evaluation
of teaching and learning projects making use of ICTs. In
this regard, going into education is an obvious opportunity,
but additional opportunities include publishing and working
in companies that manage e-learning.
In the area of research, the opportunities are related
to starting a doctoral thesis in Education and Society,
pursuing the following lines of research: virtual learning
environments, technological literacy, research trends in
online education, and technology-based teaching and learning
in specific contexts (e.g. school, university, lifelong
learning).
