José Manuel Blecua Prize – Call for applications
The Board of Trustees of the University of Barcelona invites applications for its annual José Manuel Blecua Prize. The prize is awarded for the best article published in a prominent academic journal in the field of humanities and social sciences. Applicants must have successfully defended their PhD thesis at the University of Barcelona between January 1st 2011 and December 31st 2015.

Ernest Miguelez, PhD in Economics at the University of Barcelona, was awarded with the José Manuel Blecua Prize for his article ‘What Attracts Knowledge Workers? The Role of Space and Social Connections‘ published in the Journal of Regional Science, 54(1): 33–60.
