Two Teaching Assistant Scholarships available for new PhD students in Economics
The Universitat de Barcelona School of Economics has announced two Teaching Assistantships aimed at students joining the PhD in Economics in the academic year 2017-2018. Successful candidates will perform teaching support activities at master’s level. More specifically, the scholarship recipients will be involved in the learning process of university students of the MSc in Economics. The scholarship involves a monthly dedication of 32 hours, from October 2017 to July 2018 (10 months).
In order to be eligible to apply to the funding, students must have been admitted to the programme on a full-time basis during the first or second period of academic resolutions. Please note that the deadline for second round applications is May 15th, 2017. Candidates will be assessed according to their academic career and performance (60%), the letters of reference provided during the application process (20%) and their academic interests (20%). Applicants may also be asked to attend an interview to evaluate their suitability for this scholarship.
The aim of the Teaching Assistantships is to facilitate and increase the participation of the finest students in the PhD programme, promote the training of scholarship recipients in certain academic fields and involve them in the improvement of teaching.
