The University of Barcelona suspends all face-to-face academic activities and closes buildings due to the COVID-19 health alert

As of March 15th, 2020, all buildings and facilities of the University of Barcelona are closed and access is forbidden except for authorised people, due to the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) health alert. All face-to-face learning activities are suspended from March 13th, 2020, to April 14th, 2020, and April 15th, 2020, in the case of the Faculty of Economics and Business.

On March 12th, 2020, the Rector of the University of Barcelona issued a statement on the suspension of all face-to-face academic activities at the University of Barcelona. An additional statement was issued on March 14th, 2020, on the closing of the university buildings and facilities.

The University of Barcelona has decided to minimise all face-to-face activities in accordance with the exceptional measures taken by the Government of Catalonia and the state of alert declared by the Spanish Government, which imposes certain restrictions on movement.
