Call for papers

The Organizing Committee invites you to submit abstracts of papers to be considered for oral and poster presentations at the 14th SIS Symposium.

The submission deadline is January 15th, 2002.


Specifications                   Abstract form
Abstracts must be written in English. They can be submitted using this web site, or by 3.5'' floppy disc (PC format, Microsoft Word 5.0 or later, font Times New Roman, 10 points).

The preferred form of presentation (oral or poster) should be specified, and also the main topic area in which the paper should be included (see Main Topics).

In the case of oral presentations, please underline the name of the presenting author and indicate the technical equipment needed for the presentation (Overhead Projector, Slide projector, Power Point, Video PAL/SECAM, Video NTSC).
The maximum size for posters is 0.90 meters (width) and 1.50 meters (height)

Abstract checklist
Before submitting your abstract, please make sure that:
All authors are listed using their initials (example: J. B. Smith).
Name, address, phone, fax number and E-mail address are included.
Institution, department, city and country are included.
The abstract is no longer than 300 words, and complies with guidelines.
One of the topics of the sessions has been indicated for an initial review.
The technical equipment needed for the presentation has been specified.

Deadline for abstracts
The Secretariat must receive all abstracts by January 15th, 2002 for inclusion in the printed program. The abstracts will be circulated to the scientific committee for evaluation.

Notification of acceptance
Notification of acceptance will be mailed before February 15th, 2002.
